Background: Myopia is a leading cause of visual impairment in Asia and worldwide. However, accurately predicting the progression of myopia and the high risk of myopia remains a challenge. This study aims to develop a predictive model for the development of myopia. Methods: We first retrospectively gathered 612 530 medical records from five independent cohorts, encompassing 227 543 patients ranging from infants to young adults. Subsequently, we developed a multivariate linear regression algorithm model to predict the progression of myopia and the risk of high myopia. Result: The model to predict the progression of myopia achieved an R2 value of 0.964 vs a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.119D [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.119, 1.146] in the internal validation set. It demonstrated strong generalizability, maintaining consistent performance across external validation sets: R2 = 0.950 vs MAE = 0.119D (95% CI: 0.119, 1.136) in validation study 1, R2 = 0.950 vs MAE = 0.121D (95% CI: 0.121, 1.144) in validation study 2, and R2 = 0.806 vs MAE = -0.066D (95% CI: -0.066, 0.569) in the Shanghai Children Myopia Study. In the Beijing Children Eye Study, the model achieved an R2 of 0.749 vs a MAE of 0.178D (95% CI: 0.178, 1.557). The model to predict the risk of high myopia achieved an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.99 in the internal validation set and consistently high area under the curve values of 0.99, 0.99, 0.96 and 0.99 in the respective external validation sets. Conclusion: Our study demonstrates accurate prediction of myopia progression and risk of high myopia providing valuable insights for tailoring strategies to personalize and optimize the clinical management of myopia in children.

Objective: Metabolism, a basic need and biochemical process for cell survival and proliferation, is closely connected with the pathogenesis and progression of prostate cancer. Methods: A four-gene signature construct that includes CKM (CKM), CD38, Enoyl Coenzyme A(EHHADH), and Arginase 2(ARG2) was created by bioinformatics. Finally, hub genes were validated by IHC and in vitro experiments. Results: The results showed the AUCs of the logistic regression and neural networks diagnostic model for the diagnosis of two subtypes were 0.920 and 0.936, respectively. The risk score demonstrated by univariable and multivariable Cox analysis is an independent predictive component of the prognostic signature for DFS. According to immunohistochemical analyses, ARG2 and CD38 expression levels were considerably under-expressed, but CKM and EHHADH expression levels were significantly overexpressed. Furthermore, The expression of ARG2 was significantly down-regulated in the late Gleason score. Finally, we found that ARG2 is lowly expressed in prostate cancer cells. Furthermore, based on the effect of ARG2 on the malignant phenotype of PCa in vitro, we also found that ARG2 may be a tumor suppressor that plays an important role in inhibiting proliferation, migration, and invasion. Conclusions: These findings suggest that ARG2 has been tentatively identified as a new target for research into how PCa develops in metabolism and for the development of innovative targeted treatments.

The decellularized tilapia skin (dTS) has gained significant attention as a promising material for tissue regeneration due to its ability to provide unique structural and functional components that support cell growth, adhesion, and proliferation. However, the clinical application of dTS is limited by its low mechanical strength and rapid biodegradability. Herein, we prepare a novel RGD (arginine-glycine-aspartic acid) functionalized dTS scaffold (dTS/RGD) by using transglutaminase (TGase) crosslinking. The developed dTS/RGD scaffold possesses excellent properties, including a medium porosity of ∼59.2%, a suitable degradation rate of approximately 80% over a period of two weeks, and appropriate mechanical strength with a maximum tensile stress of ∼46.36 MPa which is much higher than that of dTS (∼32.23 MPa). These properties make the dTS/RGD scaffold ideal for promoting cell adhesion and proliferation, thereby accelerating skin wound healing in a full-thickness skin defect model. Such an enzymatic cross-linking strategy provides a favorable microenvironment for wound healing and holds great potential for application in skin regeneration engineering.

QED atoms are composed of unstructured and point-like lepton pairs bound together by the electromagnetic force. The smallest and heaviest QED atom is formed by a τ+τ- pair. Currently, the only known atoms of this type are the e+e- and µ+e- atoms, which were discovered 64 years ago and remain the sole examples found thus far. We demonstrate that the Jτ (τ+τ- atom with JPC=1--) atom signal can be observed with a significance larger than 5σ including both statistical and systematic uncertainties, via. the process e+e-→X+Y-Ɇ (X,Y=e,µ,π,K, or ρ, and Ɇ is the missing energy due to unobserved neutrinos) with 1.5ab-1 data taken around the τ pair production threshold. The τ lepton mass can be measured with a precision of 1 keV with the same data sample. This is within one year's running time of the proposed super tau-charm facility in China or super charm-tau factory in Russia.

Enterovirus 71 (EV71) causes hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD), neurological complications, and even fatalities in infants. Clinically, the increase of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in EV71 patients' serum was highly associated with the severity of HFMD. EV71 boosts EVs biogenesis in an endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT)-dependent manner to facilitate viral replication. Yet, the impact of EVs-derived from ESCRT-independent pathway on EV71 replication and pathogenesis is highly concerned. Here, we assessed the effects of EV71-induced EVs from ESCRT-independent pathway on viral replication and pathogenesis by GW4869, a neutral sphingomyelinase inhibitor. Detailly, in EV71-infected mice, blockade of the biogenesis of tissue-derived EVs in the presence of GW4869 restored body weight loss, attenuated clinical scores, and improved survival rates. Furthermore, GW4869 dampens EVs biogenesis to reduce viral load and pathogenesis in multiple tissues of EV71-infected mice. Consistently, GW4869 treatment in a human intestinal epithelial HT29 cells decreased the biogenesis of EVs, in which the progeny EV71 particle was cloaked, leading to the reduction of viral infection and replication. Collectively, GW4869 inhibits EV71-induced EVs in an ESCRT-independent pathway and ultimately suppresses EV71 replication and pathogenesis. Our study provides a novel strategy for the development of therapeutic agents in the treatment for EV71-associated HFMD.

Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of pelvic floor magnetic stimulation (PFMS) combined with mirabegron in female patients with refractory overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms. Patients and methods: A total of 160 female patients with refractory OAB symptoms were prospectively randomized into two groups. Eighty cases in the combination group accepted PFMS and mirabegron therapy and 80 cases as control only accepted mirabegron therapy (The clinical trial registry number: ChiCTR2200070171). The lower urinary tract symptoms, OAB questionnaire (OAB-q) health-related quality of life (HRQol), symptom bother score and OABSS between two groups were compared at the 1st, 2nd and 4th week ends. Results: All of 160 patients were randomly assigned to two groups, of which 80 patients were included in the combination group and 80 in the mirabegron group. The incidences of LUTS, including urgency, frequent urination, and incontinence episodes, in the 2nd week and the 4th week after combination treatment were significantly lower than those in the mirabegron group (p < 0.05). The incidence of drug-related adverse events between two groups was similar, and there was no statistically significant difference (p > 0.05). With respect to secondary variables, the OAB-q HRQol score in the combination group was statistically superior in comparison with that in the mirabegron group between the 2nd week and the 4th week (p < 0.05). This was consistent with the primary outcome. Meanwhile, from the second to fourth week, the OAB-q symptom bother score and OABSS in the combination group were both lower than in the mirabegron group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Combination therapy of PFMS and mirabegron demonstrated significant improvements over mirabegron monotherapy in reducing refractory OAB symptoms for female patients, and providing a higher quality of life without increasing bothersome adverse effects. BACKGROUND: Acute liver failure (ALF) has a high mortality with widespread hepatocyte death involving ferroptosis and pyroptosis. The silent information regulator sirtuin 1 (SIRT1)-mediated deacetylation affects multiple biological processes, including cellular senescence, apoptosis, sugar and lipid metabolism, oxidative stress, and inflammation. AIM: To investigate the association between ferroptosis and pyroptosis and the upstream regulatory mechanisms. METHODS: This study included 30 patients with ALF and 30 healthy individuals who underwent serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) testing. C57BL/6 mice were also intraperitoneally pretreated with SIRT1, p53, or glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) inducers and inhibitors and injected with lipopolysaccharide (LPS)/D-galactosamine (D-GalN) to induce ALF. Gasdermin D (GSDMD)-/- mice were used as an experimental group. Histological changes in liver tissue were monitored by hematoxylin and eosin staining. ALT, AST, glutathione, reactive oxygen species, and iron levels were measured using commercial kits. Ferroptosis- and pyroptosis-related protein and mRNA expression was detected by western blot and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. SIRT1, p53, and GSDMD were assessed by immunofluorescence analysis. RESULTS: Serum AST and ALT levels were elevated in patients with ALF. SIRT1, solute carrier family 7a member 11 (SLC7A11), and GPX4 protein expression was decreased and acetylated p5, p53, GSDMD, and acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 4 (ACSL4) protein levels were elevated in human ALF liver tissue. In the p53 and ferroptosis inhibitor-treated and GSDMD-/- groups, serum interleukin (IL)-1ß, tumour necrosis factor alpha, IL-6, IL-2 and C-C motif ligand 2 levels were decreased and hepatic impairment was mitigated. In mice with GSDMD knockout, p53 was reduced, GPX4 was increased, and ferroptotic events (depletion of SLC7A11, elevation of ACSL4, and iron accumulation) were detected. In vitro, knockdown of p53 and overexpression of GPX4 reduced AST and ALT levels, the cytostatic rate, and GSDMD expression, restoring SLC7A11 depletion. Moreover, SIRT1 agonist and overexpression of SIRT1 alleviated acute liver injury and decreased iron deposition compared with results in the model group, accompanied by reduced p53, GSDMD, and ACSL4, and increased SLC7A11 and GPX4. Inactivation of SIRT1 exacerbated ferroptotic and pyroptotic cell death and aggravated liver injury in LPS/D-GalN-induced in vitro and in vivo models. CONCLUSION: SIRT1 activation attenuates LPS/D-GalN-induced ferroptosis and pyroptosis by inhibiting the p53/GPX4/GSDMD signaling pathway in ALF.

Neutrophil membrane-coated nanoparticles (NM-NPs) are nanomedicines with traits of mimicking the surface properties and functions of neutrophils, which are the most abundant type of white blood cells in the human body. NM-NPs have been widely used as targeted drug delivery systems for various inflammatory diseases, but their intrinsic effects on inflammation are not fully characterized yet. This study found that NM-NPs could modulate inflammation by multiple mechanisms without drug loading. NM-NPs could inhibit the recruitment of neutrophils and macrophages to the inflamed site by capturing chemokines and blocking their adhesion to inflamed endothelial cells. After internalized by macrophages and other phagocytic cells, NM-NPs could alter their phenotype by phosphatidylserine and simultaneously degrade the sequestered and neutralized cytokines and chemokines by lysosomal degradation. Under these effects, NM-NPs exhibited significant anti-inflammatory effects on LPS-induced inflammatory liver injury in vivo without drug loading. Our study unveiled the anti-inflammatory effects and mechanisms of NM-NPs without drug loading, and provided new insights and evidence for understanding their biological effects and safety, as well as developing more effective and safe targeted drug delivery systems.

OBJECTIVES: Previously, Interferon-induced Protein with Tetratricopeptide Repeats 1 (IFIT1) has been shown to promote cancer development. Here, we aimed to explore the role of IFIT1 in the development and progression of pancreatic cancer, including the underlying mechanisms. METHODS: We explored IFIT1 expression in pancreatic cancer samples using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets. Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK8), colony formation, scratch wound-healing and Transwell assays were performed to assess the proliferation, migration and invasion abilities of pancreatic cancer cells. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) and Western blotting were performed to assess the regulatory effect of IFIT1 on the Wnt/ß-catenin pathway. RESULTS: We found that upregulation of IFIT1 expression is common in pancreatic cancer and is negatively associated with overall patient survival. Knockdown of IFIT1 expression led to decreased proliferation, migration and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells. We also found that IFIT1 could regulate Wnt/ß-catenin signaling, and that a Wnt/ß-catenin agonist could reverse this effect. In addition, we found that IFIT1 can promote epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of pancreatic cancer cells. CONCLUSIONS: Our data indicate that IFIT1 increases pancreatic cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion by activating the Wnt/ß-catenin pathway. In addition, we found that EMT could be regulated by IFIT1. IFIT1 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for pancreatic cancer.

BACKGROUND: The existence of pancreatic cancer stem cells (PCSCs) results in limited survival benefits from current treatment options. There is a scarcity of effective agents for treating pancreatic cancer patients. Dehydroevodiamine (DeHE), a quinazoline alkaloid isolated from the traditional Chinese herb Evodiae fructus, exhibited potent inhibition of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cell proliferation and tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo. METHODS: The cytotoxic effect of DeHE on PDAC cells was assessed using CCK-8 and colony formation assays. The antitumor efficacy of DeHE were appraised in human PANC-1 xenograft mouse model. Sphere formation assay and flow cytometry were employed to quantify the tumor stemness. RNA-Seq analysis, drug affinity responsive target stability assay (DARTS), and RNA interference transfection were conducted to elucidate potential signaling pathways. Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were utilized to assess protein expression levels. RESULTS: DeHE effectively inhibited PDAC cell proliferation and tumor growth in vitro and in vivo, and exhibited a better safety profile compared to the clinical drug gemcitabine (GEM). DeHE inhibited PCSCs, as evidenced by its suppression of self-renewal capabilities of PCSCs, reduced the proportion of ALDH+ cells and downregulated stemness-associated proteins (Nanog, Sox-2, and Oct-4) both in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, there is potential involvement of DDIT3 and its downstream DDIT3/TRIB3/AKT/mTOR pathway in the suppression of stemness characteristics within DeHE-treated PDAC cells. Additionally, results from the DARTS assay indicated that DeHE interacts with DDIT3, safeguarding it against degradation mediated by pronase. Notably, the inhibitory capabilities of DeHE on PDAC cell proliferation and tumor stemness were partially restored by siDDIT3 or the AKT activator SC-79. CONCLUSION: In summary, our study has identified DeHE, a novel antitumor natural product, as an activator of DDIT3 with the ability to suppress the AKT/mTOR pathway. This pathway is intricately linked to tumor cell proliferation and stemness characteristics in PDAC. These findings suggest that DeHE holds potential as a promising candidate for the development of innovative anticancer therapeutics.

Previous observational studies have observed a correlation between sedentary behavior and osteoporosis. However, conclusions from these studies have been contradictory. To explore the potential causal relationship between sedentary behavior and osteoporosis, we conducted a Mendelian randomization analysis. A two-sample Mendelian randomization was adopted to explore the causal relationship of leisure sedentary behavior with osteoporosis. We employed 5 methods to estimate the causal associations between leisure sedentary behavior and osteoporosis. Univariable Mendelian randomization results provided evidence for the causal relationship of the time spent on computer-use with the bone mineral density estimated by heel quantitative ultrasound (eBMD) (inverse variance weighted [IVW]: ß (95% confidence interval [CI]) - 0.150 (-0.270 to -0.031), P = .013; weighted median: ß (95%CI) - 0.195 (-0.336 to -0.055), P = .006). Similar associations were observed in the driving forearm bone mineral density (FABMD) (IVW: ß (95%CI) - 0.933 (-1.860 to -0.007), P = .048) and driving lumbar spine bone mineral density (IVW: ß (95%CI) - 0.649 (-1.175 to -0.124), P = .015). However, we did not find a significant causal relationship between the time spent on watching TV and bone mineral density. Research showed that there was a causal relationship between the time spent on computer use and driving time and eBMD, FABMD, and lumbar spine bone mineral density.

Iron-based Prussian white (PW) is one of the promising cathodes for sodium-ion batteries, owing to its high capacity and low cost. However, the practical application of PW is hindered by its poor air stability. The metal-oxide coating has been proven to be an effective way to improve the air stability of electrode materials. Whereas, the target electrode materials conventionally need to be dissolved in the aqueous solution to obtain precursor composites and subsequently calcined at a high temperature during the metal-oxide coating process, which could destroy the phase structure of PW as a result of the sodium leaching into the water and thermal decomposition at the high temperature. In this work, we propose a facile method to construct a ZnO surface layer on PW by utilizing ethanol as a solvent and a mild post-treatment temperature. The ZnO coating layer effectively enhances the air stability of PW and induces the formation of the stable interface on PW. The PW-5 wt % ZnO-E (exposed in 60% humidity air after 30 days) cathode demonstrates a much higher capacity retention (94.1%) at 1 C after 200 cycles than that of PW-E (54%). This work lays a solid foundation for further application of PW.

BACKGROUND: Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) are two common clinical autoimmune liver diseases, and some patients have both diseases; this feature is called AIH-PBC overlap syndrome. Autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) is the most frequently overlapping extrahepatic autoimmune disease. Immunoglobulin (IgG) 4-related disease is an autoimmune disease recognized in recent years, characterized by elevated serum IgG4 levels and infiltration of IgG4-positive plasma cells in tissues. CASE SUMMARY: A 68-year-old female patient was admitted with a history of right upper quadrant pain, anorexia, and jaundice on physical examination. Laboratory examination revealed elevated liver enzymes, multiple positive autoantibodies associated with liver and thyroid disease, and imaging and biopsy suggestive of pancreatitis, hepatitis, and PBC. A diagnosis was made of a rare and complex overlap syndrome of AIH, PBC, AITD, and IgG4-related disease. Laboratory features improved on treatment with ursodeoxycholic acid, methylprednisolone, and azathioprine. CONCLUSION: This case highlights the importance of screening patients with autoimmune diseases for related conditions.

Lei's formula (LSF), a traditional Chinese herbal remedy, is recognized for its remarkable clinical effectiveness in treating osteoarthritis (OA). Despite its therapeutic potential, the exact molecular mechanisms underlying LSF's action in OA have remained enigmatic. Existing research has shed light on the role of the mTOR signaling pathway in promoting chondrocyte senescence, a central factor in OA-related cartilage degeneration. Consequently, targeting mTOR to mitigate chondrocyte senescence presents a promising avenue for OA treatment. The primary objective of this study is to establish LSF's chondroprotective potential and confirm its anti-osteoarthritic efficacy through mTOR inhibition. In vivo assessments using an OA mouse model reveal substantial articular cartilage degeneration. However, LSF serves as an effective guardian of articular cartilage, evidenced by reduced subchondral osteosclerosis, increased cartilage thickness, improved surface smoothness, decreased OARSI scores, elevated expression of cartilage anabolic markers (Col2 and Aggrecan), reduced expression of catabolic markers (Adamts5 and MMP13), increased expression of the chondrocyte hypertrophy marker (Col10), and decreased expression of chondrocyte senescence markers (P16 and P21). In vitro findings demonstrate that LSF shields chondrocytes from H2O2-induced apoptosis, inhibits senescence, enhances chondrocyte differentiation, promotes the synthesis of type II collagen and proteoglycans, and reduces cartilage degradation. Mechanistically, LSF suppresses chondrocyte senescence through the mTOR axis, orchestrating the equilibrium between chondrocyte anabolism and catabolism, ultimately leading to reduced apoptosis and decelerated OA cartilage degradation. LSF holds significant promise as a therapeutic approach for OA treatment, offering new insights into potential treatments for this prevalent age-related condition.

Ammonia (NH3) plays important roles in chemistry, the environment, and energy; however, the synthesis of NH3 relies heavily on the Haber-Bosch process, causing serious environmental pollution and energy consumption. A clean and effective strategy for the synthesis of NH3 involves nitrogen (N2) being transformed to ammonia (NH3) using electrocatalysis. Adjusting the magnetism of electrocatalysts may improve their performance, and therefore, four magnetic states, nonmagnetic (NM), ferromagnetic (FM), interlayer antiferromagnetic (Inter-AFM), and intra-layer antiferromagnetic (Intra-AFM) Cr2CO2-MXene were designed to explore magnetoelectrocatalysis performance using well-defined density functional theory (DFT) calculations in this study. Upon comparing the nitrogen reduction limiting potentials of N2 molecules on the surface of the four different magnetic states in Cr2CO2-MXene, and the selectivity calculations of the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR), the Inter-AFM Cr2CO2-MXene is shown to be a better NRR electrocatalyst than the other three cases. This study paves way to unravel the mystery of the spin-catalytic mechanism and will lay a solid foundation for eNRR electrocatalysts with magnetic materials for environmental and energy applications.

Quality by design (QbD) serves as a systematic approach to pharmaceutical development, beginning with predefined objectives and emphasizing an understanding of the product based on sound science and risk management. The purpose of this study is to utilize the QbD concept to develop a stable peptide-loaded long-acting injection formulation. An in-depth comprehension of peptide degradation mechanisms was achieved through forced degradation investigations, elucidating (acid) hydrolysis and oxidation as the primary degradation pathways for the peptide ACTY116. The quality built into the product was focused on risk assessment, for which the critical material attributes (CMAs) and critical process parameters (CPPs) associated with the critical quality attributes (CQAs) of each formulation were identified, leading to the development of the corresponding control strategies. CQAs for three LAI (long-acting injectable) formulations were enhanced by taking the right control strategies. The LAI formulation exhibiting the highest stability for ACTY116 was chosen for subsequent pharmacokinetic investigations in rats. The objective of addressing peptide chemical instability and in vivo long-acting release was achieved. For other molecules with susceptible functionalities like amide bonds, amino groups, and hydroxyl groups, the utilization of PLGA-based in situ gel as an LAI formulation for stabilizing molecules provides valuable insights.

OBJECTIVES: Depressive symptoms have a considerable negative impact on mental health. This study aimed to understand the relationship between the protein-enriched and anti-inflammatory dietary index scores, modified healthy lifestyle index scores (Modified HLIS), and depressive symptoms. METHODS: This study used convenience sampling to conduct a single-center cross-sectional survey. From January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2020, a total of 287,945 Chinese adults from a health management center of a general hospital completed an online self-reported health questionnaire, which included demographic characteristics, the Dietary Diversity Scale, the Modified Healthy Lifestyle Index Scores and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9. RESULTS: The higher anti-inflammatory dietary index scores (POR = 0.87; 95 % CI: 0.86-0.87; p < 0.001), moderate modified healthy lifestyle index scores (POR = 0.76; 95 % CI: 0.75-0.78; p < 0.001) and sufficient modified healthy lifestyle index scores (POR = 0.53; 95 % CI: 0.52-0.54; p < 0.001) were negatively associated with depressive symptoms, while the higher protein-enriched dietary index scores (POR = 1.01; 95 % CI: 1.01-1.02; p < 0.001) was positively correlated with depressive symptoms. CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrated that protein-enriched and anti-inflammatory dietary index scores, and multiple healthy lifestyles are associated depressive symptoms in adults.

To observe the efficacy and safety of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) combined with flexible vacuum-assisted ureteral access sheath (FV-UAS) and minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (MPCNL) in patients with 2-3 cm upper urinary tract stones. A total of 160 patients with 2-3 cm upper urinary tract stones were prospectively randomized into 2 groups-80 in the FV-UAS group and 80 cases as control in the MPCNL group. The stone-free rates (SFRs) at different times (postoperative 1st day and 4th week) were considered as the primary outcome of the study. The secondary end points were operative time, hemoglobin decrease, postoperative hospital stay, and operation-related complications. There was no obvious difference between the two groups in patient's demographics and preoperative clinical characteristics (all P > 0.05). Postoperative data showed that mean decrease in hemoglobin level was less in FV-UAS group than that in MPCNL group (5.3 vs. 10.8 g/L, P < 0.001). Postoperative hospital stay in FV-UAS group was more shorten than that in MPCNL group (2.7 vs. 4.9 days, P < 0.001). There was no statistical significance between the two groups in SFRs during postoperative 1st day and 4th week (both P > 0.05). However, in terms of the rates of bleeding and pain, MPCNL group were both significantly higher than FV-UAS group (6.2 vs. 0.0%, P = 0.023; 16.2 vs. 2.5%, P = 0.003; respectively). Our study showed that RIRS with FV-UAS, a new partnership to treat 2-3 cm upper urinary tract stones, was satisfying as it achieved a high SFR rate and a low rate of complications. This method was safe and reproducible in clinical practice.
